Hello Birders,

We have just updated our website with 17 new photos from our 4 day trip to eastern WA. Many of the photos were taken in the Vantage area, but several were taking during Doug Schonewald's WOS field trip, which he graciously allowed. It was only our second time this year to eastern WA so we really enjoyed everything we saw, especially visiting the many migrant traps for passerines! It was also nice running into several birders during our visit to Bassett Park in Washtucna on the 27th.

Some of the photos that we obtained include a Golden Eagle being harassed by a Northern Harrier along a rimrock cliff south of Steamboat Rock State Park, which was interesting to watch before both birds finally lifted and drifted off. Other photos include the adult male Am.Redstart at Wanapum State Park, which was not easy at all to photograph since it kept moving about the dense leaves of several different trees. We also got very good photos of a cooperative Lark Sparrow in the boat launch parking lot at Wanapum State Park, which were our personal best to date! We hope you all enjoy some or all our latest photos,as always!

Our latest photos can be accessed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/recent_photos/

Sincerely,
