Ian, Dennis and other interested Tweeters,
Despite Meinertzhagen's failures, he was a great writer ofthe natural
history of birds.

I'm not sure if the following is permitted on this listserv (if not, I
apologize), but I have two of Meinertzhagen's rare books for sale. "Birds
of Arabia" with dust cover, published in 1954 ($450), and "Pirates and
Predators" with dust cover, published in 1959 ($350). Both of these are in
very good condition.
