Today (and late last night) my wife and I birded the dike along Ebey Slough from the Fobes Road access. About a half mile down we saw two drake ruddy ducks displaying to a hen ruddy duck. Can someone tell me if ruddy ducks breed in the Puget Sound area and if this sighting was in any way unusual? Thanks.
