Subject: [Tweeters] mystery sea bird in Bellingham Bay

Returning today from a weekend at Sinclair Island as we entered Bellingham
Bay there were two sea birds, larger than Pigeon Guillemots, with long
pointed wings. I thought at first they might be cormorants, but they had
shorter necks and different tail and body length. They reminded me most of
Skua's but they were both jet black on top, light undersides and I could not
make out any other details. The wings were long and pointed, much longer
than Guillemots. Any ideas what might be in Bellingham Bay that might
resemble these?
