This week's issue of birds in the news is a day late
because I didn't think many people would read it over
the holiday. This week, there are several interesting
"Birds in Science" news stories that will interest
you, especially the story describing the relationship
between testosterone levels and reproductive behaviors
in wild dark-eyed Juncos. Another interesting story
tells about a researcher restoring eyesight to blind
chickens -- a therapeutic technique that has promise
