Tweeters,
Balmy north breeze, high thin clouds, and lots of mudflats exposed at
Turning Basin #3. Both the Hamm Creek and Oxbow male Ospreys were
apparently foraging when I first came out because both arrived at their
respective territorial perches with prey. After the Oxbow male fed for a
bit, he brought what remained to the female, which had already raised up
off the eggs (I suppose). The male then moved to sit on the eggs while
the female fed and moved around.

Bird of the Day: Common Merganser - a female was feeding along the west
bank, with six small young.

Birds seen during this scan:
Canada Goose (8)
Mallard (6)
Common Merganser (8, incl 6 ducklings)
Great Blue Heron
