Tweets,
after a great weekend with Doug on the WOS field trip,
I spent the next 2 days recovering in Richland, and
had a chance to do a little birding:
Highlights -
Horn Rapids Park - Northern Mockingbird, Lincoln's
Sparrow, GH Owl fledgling
Horn Rapids Road - Lark Sparrow
WE Johnson Park - Great Egrets, Spotted Sandpiper,
Yellow-breasted Chat(2), Warbling Vireo
Hildebrand Road - Lazuli Bunting
Dodd/Iowa Beef Ponds - Nesting Avocet and BN Stilt, BC
Night-Herons, 3 species of Teal (Blue-winged, Cinamon,
Green-winged), Redhead, Wilson's Phalarope. (Upper
Ponds were FULL from all the rain, up in the weeds, so
not many shorebirds.)
Dodd Road - Grasshopper Sparrow heard
White Pelicans seen flying from just about everywhere.

Great Weekend of Birding! Now I need a vacation to
rest up ;)
