All,

As I pulled in to my shop early this morning, I looked up to see a beautiful
Osprey gliding in just overhead to have a look at the fishing potential at
Sunset Pond. I didn't see a single wingbeat....just a pure glide.
Then, when I arrived at the job site a bit later, an adult Bald Eagle was
making slow, lazy circles right above the house and being harassed by a half
dozen NOISY Caspian Terns.

All this with a bright, blue-sky background and a virtuoso performance in
progress by a very capable Black-headed Grosbeak. Steroids, perhaps?
This guy was good! The homeowners claim that he starts singing around 4:30 in
the morning!

And the rest of the day went well, as well.
