Hi Tweeters,

There was a call to the Yakima Valley Audubon phone line Saturday reporting
a Tri-colored Blackbird in Gleed, which is in the northwest area of
Yakima. Several of us stopped by over the weekend but didn't find it. I
am sure I saw it after work today. I am not sure, though, it is a
Tri-colored. It looks like a Tri-colored but sang like a Red-winged Blackbird.

While there, I saw a Red-winged Blackbird with a very long upper
mandible. It is about 3/8 of an inch longer than the lower
mandible. Looks like the bird would have a difficult time eating. Photos
of both of these birds are in the new photos folder on my website.
