Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

On October 26 a bright female HOODED ORIOLE visited a feeder in Port Orford.

Conspicuous migrants during the week were ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS and NORTHERN
SHRIKES. BLACK PHOEBES were reported from Deans Creek, near Reedsport,
Dayton, and Svenson, east of Astoria.

On October 31 a SAY?S PHOEBE was on the North Spit of Coos Bay, and a
HARRIS?S SPARROW and three WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were at Millicoma Marsh.
On October 26 a TROPICAL KINGBIRD was at Pistol River. Another was at the
South Jetty of the Siuslaw River October 28. The BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was
seen again that day along the jetty road.

An EMPEROR GOOSE was among a goose flock at Ridgefield NWR October 28. On
October 28 a SWAMP SPARROW was at the Portland Zoo. Another was at
Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland October 30. On October 25 a REDPOLL
visited a northeast Portland feeder. A male COSTA?S HUMMINGBIRD is now
coming to a Lake Oswego feeder. Two BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS were at a
Hillsboro feeder October 27. A BURROWING OWL is now being seen along
Livermore Road north of Baskett Slough NWR. A dark HARLAN?S HAWK was seen
October 30 at Ankeny NWR. A BRANT was among a goose flock in Eugene November
1. On October 30 a RED PHALAROPE was at Lost Creek Reservoir on the Rogue
River.

A LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen October 28 at Hatfield Lake near Bend. On
November 1 an ANCIENT MURRELET was on Haystack Reservoir near Madras. A
flock of REDPOLLS was along Golf Course Road in Enterprise October 28.
Several flocks of GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were also in the area.
