Hello Everyone,

Starting at 6:30 this morning, I went up Highway 2 to Hershey Pond (north of
Dennison Chattaroy, 1 mi north on Regal) and found a RED BREASTED MERGANSER.

Loon, Waittes, and Deer Lakes supplied the normal wintering waterfowl. Quite
a few Horned Grebes.

Between Valley and Waitte's Lake, .2 mi south of the intersection of
Waitte's Lake Rd and Long Prairie Rd, there is a STP that had 6 Barrow's
Goldeneyes, 2 Greater Scaup (with Lesser), and a late pair of Redheads. This
STP has been productive before. Further south of this location there was a
small flock of Bohemian Waxwings.

Reardan Ponds had many Tundra Swans and another pair of Barrow's Goldeneyes
amidst the rest of the waterfowl.

On Old Sunset Highway between Reardan and Davenport, I found a flock of
about 30 GRAY CROWNED ROSY FINCHES (HEPBURN'S RACE). This was just west of
Mann Rd between a white house with an American Flag out front and a yellow
house several hundred yards to the west. The birds even flew into the edge
of the yard of the white house.

Nothing much on Sprague Lake except two more Red Breasted Mergansers (Adams
county end of lake) and a few Bonaparte Gulls.

Blessings,

Terry Little
