Got the yen to get a better compact zoom digital cameral -- not the large
cumbersome camera outfits. Looking for something compact that I might
actually take along while birding.
I've got a two year old Konica-Minolta 10x digital camera that doesn't seem
to possess speed in the sense that the nicely posed bird has its head in the
leaves by the time the camera goes through the process of taking the
picture. I've also noted that the lens stabilization warning comes on
often, and usually when I'm far from a tripod. The lens coatings seem to be
lacking.
Looks to me like I've bought a beta version of something that really ought
to be much better. Suggestions? Is there a web site where this type of
camera would be compared, discussed, etc.
If you'd like, I'd be pleased to get private reply if you do not feel
comfortable posting to tweeterdom.
