Greetings All

Faced the wind, and after 1:30, the rain yesterday.

The wind was impressive. At one place, even with me applying my weight to the
scope, I couldn't keep it upright. Maybe it was the Jack Daniels (just
kidding :o)

Anyway, the Cattle Egret was not to be found. Local hunters said it was
present daily through Friday, but not there Sat. Either it was sheltering from the
wind or decided to head even farther north on the blasting winds.

There was a Blue Goose with the Snows at the Snow Goose Preserve. There was
also a GWF Goose elsewhere on the island with Snow Geese. I heard a
golden-plover at the Snow Goose Preserve, but couldn't locate it or ID it by voice.

There was a nice smattering of Trump Swans on Skagit and Samish Flats with a
Whistling or two salted in.

At Port Susan (remember, one needs to get permission before going there
first) at high tide in pouring rain, soaked through my britches, I saw a Marbled
Godwit and a Sharp-tailed Sand plus 3 Pecs, 3 Lesser and 43 Greater Yellowlegs.

Dennis Duffy had a Brown Pelican at Edmonds in the morning.

Cheers
