Here is Mike Patterson's webpage posted before the split of Canada Goose
into both Cackling and Canada Goose. Despite it's age, it is still useful.

According to Steve Mlodinow's message to Tweeters, it looks like you should
split the two goose species between DUSKY and TAVERNERS if you look at the
pictures at the top of the page on this website.
Down in the table, LESSER should be grouped in the larger group, that is in
Canada Goose. I hope I have this correct. I'm about to head down to
the Green River Valley south of South Center, where we have had 3 inches of
rain in the last two days. I think I'll see some geese. Many thanks to
Steve Mlodinow, who has spent many hours looking at goose flocks, in order
to help out us "Lesser" birders. And my thanks go out to Mike Patterson
too.
