Hello,
I've had an odd looking male junco at my feeder the last few days. It
looks like a hybrid slate colored/white winged/ oregon junco! The head
and back are slate gray. The breast is dark black. The wings are gray
except for the primaries which are edged with tan at the tips, there is
a single white wing bar. The tail is dark gray. Looking Rising's
"Sparrows of the US and Canada", he doesn't resemble any of the junco
forms illustrated. I hope he sticks around, I'd like to get a decent photo.
