MaryAnn Ruthruff and I did the monthly survey of the China Creek Golf
Course at Newcastle this morning. It was foggy with off and on rain, hard
at times. Not the best birding conditions, but we did come up with some
good birds. Following is a list of the 18 species we recorded.

American Pipit - 3 seen at one hole and at least 40 on another hole. They
were very active, flying and then disappearing in the grass.
