My mom and I went up to Ridgefield NWR this afternoon
for casual birding and to enjoy some out of doors
between storms. The day was very nice and dry. We
had a total of 37 species. Best birds were:

HORNED GREBE on S Quigley Lake and Ruddy Lake
WHITE-TAILED KITE perched atop snag on E side of Rest
Lake
HARLAN?S RED-TAILED HAWK active bird with whitish tail
seen in 3 places flying and perched (I assume there
was only one Harlan's)

beside the blind
