Hello Tweets,

We have just updated our website with photos taken yesterday from our good day in Grays Harbor Co. to Ocean Shores. These photos include 5 species and were mainly taken all hand held, except for a few photos taken using a tripod too. Most of the photos were taken at Ocean Shores with the exception of the Red-necked Phalarope, which was taken at a distance near Brady Loop Rd. It was great taking photos of a few of the Western Grebes at the base of the Ocean Shores Jetty,as they would hop around and try to run too and is a sight you don't often get to see! It was also nice taking photos of a Pacific Loon on a freshwater lake at the Cabana Pond a very close range and it most likely got blown in from a recent storm! It is one of very few Pacific Loons we have in our photo collections!

The Pacific Golden Plover at the Ocean Shores STP was also very nice considering the fall date, although we have encountered this species even later in the fall. It was a very cooperative bird and having the wind helped before it decided to fly off towards the Oyhut Wildlife Area, where we relocated the bird at a fair distance. The immature Snow Goose at the Ocean Shores Golf Course was entertaining to watch with it's ruffled feathers and it seemed somewhat sociable with the flock of 10 Greater White-fronted Geese.

Our recent photos can all be accessed from one of two following links:

We hope you all may enjoy all our photos!

Sincerely,
