Hi all,

Delia & I saw the one Pine Grosbeak, with yellow flanks, in Discovery Park at around 10:45 this morning Saturday after being alerted by it?s loud distinctive call.

At the time we had sort of given up on the Grosbeak and we were watching a puddle in the road leading east from the south end of the South Parking lot. In about 10 minutes we saw 1 Townsend?s Warbler, 1 Chestnut-backed Chickadee, many Black-Capped Chickadees, 10 plus Golden-crowned. Kinglets, 2 Ruby-crowned Kinglets, 6-plus Golden-crowned Sparrows, & 1 Song Sparrow take a bath, with a Fox Sparrow and Spotted Towhees scratching nearby and a single Pine Siskin overhead, not to mention the Grosbeak in the treetops above. It never ceases to amaze us how much birds like to bathe.

The Tropical Kingbird was at Magnuson around 12:30, although I guess this is already old news.
