Hello all,

I went birding this morning at Nisqually with Tracey Norris, who was leading a small group of beginning birders on a field trip. We had a few highlights including 1 Northern Shrike at the oberservation platform at the Twin Barns, up to 6 Northern Harriers sitting in a single field off the same platform. 1 Bittern along the trail to McCallister Creek, and the highlight of the day, a singe Swamp Sparrow.

The Swamp Sparrow was located on the trail to McCallister Creek, at the very end before it meets the Bank fishing area. It was on the right side where the marsh reeds meet up with a small clump of trees before the bend of the next trail going along the creek. It was calling and hanging out with Lincoln's, Song, Fox, White-crowned and Golden-crowned Sparrows.

Cheers and good birding,
