I took a brief trip to Pt No Pt yesterday, right around high tide. Overcast
skies, but the mountains were out in all their snow-covered glory!

In taxillogical order,

Sanderling
Dunlin
Mallard
Green-winged Teal
Great Blue Heron
Cooper's Hawk--obligingly perched on a nearby post, gave me nice long looks
Bald Eagle--2, perched high atop evergreens
Common Loon
Bonaparte's Gull
"Olympic" Gull
Horned Grebe
Brown Pelican !
Horned Grebe
Eared Grebe
Song Sparrow
Spotted Towhee
Black-capped Chickadee
Bushtit

If there were scoters about, they were beyond scope range. It wasn't all
that birdy, but I guess what should I expect, being there mid-day. The
pelican was cool, though.

Mammals seen included Harbor Seals, an absolutely gigantic Sea Lion really
close to the shore, a Brazilian Mastiff, and misc mongrels.
