Hello All,
Just a short note on the presents of Cardinals in Southeastern Washington.
There are two records that I know of. One adult male discovered on the Walla
Walla CBC in 1990. This bird was banded with a bright red aluminum band.
Where it came from is unknown. The second showed up in Lewiston, Idaho in
the late 1990s and was later relocated in Clarkston, Asotin Co. Washington.
This was also an adult male that was unbanded. Many photos were taken of
this bird. I saw both birds and found it interesting that both birds showed
up in winter and at backyard feeders.
