Between 8 and 9:30 this morning, from the Edmonds public pier, we saw
a BROWN PELICAN flying south behind a ship in the commercial shipping
lanes, a RED-THROATED LOON, a COMMON LOON, a RHINOCEROS AUKLET, four
BRANTS heading south, five WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS heading south, three
BLACK SCOTERS heading north, and three flocks of shorebirds, all
appearing to be DUNLIN, heading south. Horned, Western, and Red-
necked Grebe, Common Goldeneye, Surf Scoter, Pigeon Guillemot, D-C
and Pelagic Cormorant, Mew, Bonaparte's, and Glaucous-winged Gull
were also in the vicinity.
