The question was raised about how a bobcat could get to Whidbey Island. Its
simple; there?s a bridge. I?ve seen coyotes crossing bridges so it wouldn?t
be too difficult to assume a cat could make the crossing. The appearance of
porcupines is rather interesting. I?ve seen them crossing mudflats in Alaska
several times and once watched one swim across a slough. I wouldn?t guess
they could make the crossing from Fidalgo Island unless they drifted on a
log.
