Dear Tweeters,

Today a Pine Grosbeak visited my yard near Lyman
(Skagit County). It was a russet one. The bird perched
for a few minutes each in a few different trees,
called, then flew off to the west.

It was a winter wonderland of fifteen inches of snow
here. There were 25 species of birds, mostly at the
feeders, including the first Fox Sparrows in my yard
this year. A Northern Shrike also passed through.
