Yesterday (11/28/06) I birded a few locations in the Kent Valley, in King County. There was quite an assortment of birds north of 204th Street, west of Frager Road, in Kent.

Eurasian Wigeon - 1 male
American Wigeon
Green-winged Teal
Mallard
Northern Pintail
American Coot
Killdeer
Wilson's Snipe - 8 or more
Long-billed Dowitcher - 5
Least Sandpiper - 3
Dunlin - 1
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
American Pipit - 20 and more
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
Golden-vrowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco

On the way home, there was a Merlin perched atop a streetlight on the Aurora (Hwy 99) Bridge in Seattle. This is a favorite Merlin perch. A good stakeout spot for a Merlin in late afternoon.

Good birding.
