Hello Tweeters,
I have put some millet type bird seed (parakeet food) out on the patio for
the birds in the cold weather. Yesterday we counted 14 Spotted Towhees in
the yard at one time. Last year the maximum counted at one time was 6.
Cornell told me last year that 6 was unusual for our area when I did the
backyard bird count. It is so cold the Varied Thrush are coming to eat the
seed as well.
