Yesterday I was stuck at home, so I was able to keep thawing out my
hummer feeder periodically. Had to make it into work today, so I got an
idea -- took one of those disposable handwarmers and taped it to the
bottom of the (flat, round) feeder with packing tape. They last up to
eight hours, so hopefully it will keep the feeder thawed all day. The
handwarmer needs to be exposed to oxygen to stay warm, so I just ran a
length of tape along it end to end -- didn't completely enclose it with
tape.

I thawed out the hummingbird feeder three times today (Tuesday).

This fellow liked to sit high up in a tree between drinks and act as a
sentry to chase away any other hummers that came near "his" feeder.
