Our feeder was unattended over the Thanksgiving holiday while we were away.
We only returned last night, and of course, the feeder was frozen solid this
morning. I thawed it out and put out fresh food. Before I got it settled on
the hook, two Anna's came buzzing by very close to my head. I couldn't
believe it, I thought for sure they had moved on, or we had lost them. Only one has
perched to eat, as there seems to be a bit of a territorial squabble going
on. I am making more food to put in a second feeder on the other side of the
terrace.
