Greetings,

I live in the North City area of Shoreline on 8th Ave. NE, just south of NE 180th. I have a couple of bird feeders in my backyard, hanging from the same pole - a tube feeder with broken peanuts and a square suet feeder. They are not far from the house, just 10 feet away at the end of my small deck. Around 6:00 pm today I saw a raven sitting on the curved top of the pole. With some effort, it managed to move down a few times to get some suet, which was nearly gone, and a few peanut pieces. At least it was better at doing this than the crows are. After a few minutes, it flew away. I thought it was bolder than the resident crows, who would have flown away from sighting the first movement by me inside the house. Needless to say, it was an impressive new yard bird for me.

Regards,
