Just a quick note. On Friday, Sep 29, a Scrub Jay visited my area in
Roy, WA (south of Ft. Lewis). (I first heard, then saw the bird.) In
addition, on Saturday, I saw two Scrub Jays in downtown (!) Roy.

Last year, I was pretty certain that I saw a Scrub Jay in Roy, but it
was only a brief glimpse during a downpour. I've not heard of any
sightings at Ft. Lewis, but others of you that have visited the Fort may
have better knowledge. I believe that area near Lewis Lake at the Fort
may be a prime candidate for such sightings (it's near Roy).
