It seems that lately it's been quite slow everywhere I've been except for
home. At home it has been exceptional all September and continues now.
During September I added two new birds to my yardlist total, a Townsend's
Warbler and a Merlin. Today I had a PILEATED WOODPECKER ten feet from my
living room window on a small suet feeder. Then he went to the larger pole
about 30 feet out and stayed about 5 minutes giving me a chance for some
dandy pictures. Now if I could just figure out how to bring in some
shorebirds.....................
