A Ring-necked Snake was seen (but I got there a few minutes too late) by a
group of hikers who had been at the Audubon camp out at Wenas Creek in May
of 2005, about half way down to the falls from the parking lot. Sounds like
a reliable spot for this rare species.

In response to Dave Parent's question about the distibution of Ring-
necked Snakes, I have seen them a couple of times near rock
outcroppings along the Columbia River at Camas, Clark County, WA.
