one of my favourite places in the world to bird is in southeast england,
about 75 miles from london. it's the rye harbour nature reserve... as i
miss the area dearly, i stay in touch by subscribing to their newsletter,
and to that of their brethren just southwest in hastings...

among the more fascinating creatures would be a marbled duck (probably an
escapee from captivity), temminck's stint, and wryneck. those birds we see
occasionally include pintails, osprey, eurasian wigeon, and bar-tailed
godwit...
