hi feathered friends

here on lummi ive had varied thrushes since 9/25 (i almost stepped on
one in the tall grass at the edge of coniferous woodlot.

since then i see and hear several a day.

also seen regularly in my yard

northern harrier
northern flicker
hairy woodpecker
song sparrow
juncos juncos juncos
robins
ravens
and last tuesday a ruffed grouse

bald eagles have also recently returned after a month long hiatus

and the crows look fine

saw a large (60+)flock of townsends warblers at sunrise a couple of
days ago zooming above my field. they lit into the alders and commenced
a zzzizzzing racket.

hooded mergansers yesterday as well as
red necked grebes
horned grebe
bonapartes gull
western grebe
pacific loon
common loon (several)
harlequin ducks
surf scoter
white winged scoter
