Hi Tweets -
The Clay-colored Sparrow put on a good show from 3:10 to about 4:00
today at Marymoor Park [Redmond, King Co]. It was still hanging out
in the Compost Piles, eating seeds on the ground and in bushes. For
the most part, it seemed to be sticking close to Savannah Sparrows.

In a twist of nasty-bird-trickery [and this is anthropomorphizing,
100%], the CCSP disappeared into the blackberries as soon as another
birder appeared, just after 4:00. We searched for quite a while and
couldn't relocate it.

Tweets - I got a report this morning that Marv Breece had found a
Clay-colored Sparrow at Marymoor. Speeding down there, I found a
gaggle of birders already on the bird at the Compost Piles. Nice
looks. When I left at 10:00, the sparrow was in the blackberries
between the Compost Piles and the East Meadow. (See

north of the words "East Meadow")

Also seen in my quick drive through the park - 10,000 people visiting
the park, 3 Greater White-Fronted Geese, and 2 Cackling Geese amongst
hundreds of Canadas.
