Every Friday afternoon I pick up our vegtables at the Root Connection
CSA farm on the Woodinville-Redmond Road. This summer I've combined my
trip out there with a bicycle ride for some part of the trail from
Marymoor to Lake Forest Park. I always keep an eye out for birds and
frequently stop if I see/hear something interesting.

Last week I stopped twice to watch blue herons feeding on the opposite
side of the Sammamish River. Slow and steady would describe their
technique.

Next year I'm going to get a basket or bag rigged up on my bike to
hold the big bag of vegetables so I can make the complete trip some of
the times on my bike instead of driving part way. The back of the Root
Connection property boarders the trail and I believe there is access
by way of a path.

Anyone interested in fresh organic vegetables can check out The Root
Connection's web page at http://www.rootconnection.com/ We've been
members for five or six years.
