Hello,
It is that time of year again. We are looking for people to volunteer
to help with swan surveys in Whatcom County from Nov. 1 through the end of
February 2007.
All you need is a desire to bird with a purpose and some time to give. We
can use you for a day, or on a regular schedule. The surveys take about 2-3
hours, you drive around, find the swans, count them, put their location on
an orthophoto map and continue until the survey route is done.
You can also take time to enjoy the abundance of other birds and
exciting finds like we had last year.
There is reimbursement for gas.
