Tried for the Nisqually Northern Shrike this afternoon
but no luck. Gorgeous day, so it was a great excuse
to get out. The refuge had several Hooded Mergansers
as well as 4 Red-breasted Mergansers.
Waxwings, Ruby-crowns and Purple Finches were
everywhere.

An otter crossed the path in front of me -- looked
like an otter slide near the photoblind loop trail.
