Condor Book Author To Speak in Seattle

The riveting story of the California condor's dramatic rescue from the brink
of extinction is the topic of writer John Moir's November 8 presentation in
Seattle at the Elliott Bay Book Company at 7:30 p.m. Moir is author of
RETURN OF THE CONDOR: The Race to Save Our Largest Bird from Extinction.
This hardcover book, which is being published in October, features a 32-page
color photo insert. It chronicles the condor's epic story and takes readers
deep into the world of these iconic birds and the biologists who are trying
to save them. It also connects the condor's plight to the larger extinction
crisis sweeping our planet.
