Tweets,
We have been noticing the same rush of yardbirds that many others have described in recent posings--Fox and GC Sparrows, Juncos, Flickers, etc. at the feeders. But late this aft. we had a new one down at our now-muddy kayak launch--2 juvenile Greater White-fronted Geese. They were hanging with the Canada Geese that plague us (I swear there were 50 "babies" this summer) and provided a good comparison with the resident Graylag that also pals around with the Canadas. The domestic goose made the WF Geese look just tiny! We could detect no hint of hybridization on these two--we're wondering how long they will remain.
