My wife and I saw a great display by a short-eared owl on the parade grounds at Discovery Park Saturday night at about 5:30pm. We first spotted it over the Utah Pond and caught up with it on the parade field shortly thereafter. It landed on the hill twice and then worked the field for a couple of minutes before flying off toward bird alley.

A first in Discovery Park for both of us.
