Sightings for Friday, October 20th:

A SNOWY OWL appeared on the deck of a home at Rumble
and Nelson in south Burnaby.

At Iona Island in Richmond, there were 2 LAPLAND LONGSPURS on the
beach and a SNOW BUNTING on the South Jetty.

A LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen from Rocky Point in Port Moody.


Sightings for Wednesday, October 18th:

3 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were seen in the 3200 block
of River Road West in Delta.


Sightings for Monday, October 16th:

A juvenile SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER was observed on Boundary
Bay at the Mansion west of 96th St., Delta. A NORTHERN SHRIKE
was seen at Colony Farm in Coquitlam.


Sightings for Friday, October 13th:

A juvenile SHARP-TAILED SANDPIPER was on the SW Pond
at Iona Island and a male MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD was on the
airport fence on Sea Island in Richmond.


Sightings for Thursday, October 12th:

NORTHERN SHRIKES were widely observed with one at Boundary
Bay near the foot of 64th St, Delta, one at 208th St. at Yorkson
Creek, N Langley, and one on Sea Island in Richmond.


Sightings for Wednesday, October 11th:

Two NORTHERN SHRIKES were seen at the Reifel Bird Sanctuary
in Delta.


Sightings for Monday, October 9th:

A ROCK WREN was found at Cypress Bowl, West Vancouver.
It was on the rock face just before the small parking lot on the right,
before the main upper parking lot. At the Vancouver lookout at
Cypress Bowl was an ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD.

The first NORTHERN SHRIKE reported this fall was at the Reifel Bird
Sanctuary in Ladner.
