This information comes from visiting birders Hugh and Urling Kingery of
Colorado. I birded all day with them during an ELWAS field trip to Camano Island
on Oct. 21st. Subsequently, they birded Westport and Tokeland among other
locations. About 5 p.m. Oct. 24th, they located two Tropical Kingbirds near a
shrubby field just before 3247 Kindred St., near Emerson and the turnoff to
Tokeland Point. Needless, to say they were quite excited. I was able to confirm
that during some years at least one Tropical Kingbird can be found in the area.
