An October entry for Gray Catbird in wWA seems incredible, but I also had
one (seen/heard) off the dike just s.e. of the Hayden preserve of the Skagit
WMA about five years ago, I recall the date was October 10. This joined two
mid-September encounters over the years at the main access off Wylie Rd.
Evidently this species occurs very rarely on passage in coastal marsh
habitat.

Also on Gary Bletsch's late Skagit Co Calidrids: about four falls ago
several observers found single Baird's Sandpipers well into October at
Jensen & vicinity, with a last sighting on Nov. 7. This is the county's
latest, and I would be willing to bet one of the latest for the state as a
whole.
