Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday October 26. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On October 21 a CHESTNUT-COLLARED LONGSPUR was seen at Lost Creek Reservoir
on the Rogue River NE of Shady cove.

On October 21, 50 BONAPARTE?S GULLS were at Lost Creek Reservoir, and 35
were at Tumalo Reservoir near Bend. On October 23 about 2200 were at Upper
Klamath Lake. Other conspicuous migrants during the week were SANDHILL
CRANES, ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, and EURASIAN WIGEON. On October 23 six TUNDRA
SWANS were at Burlington Bottoms hear Sauvie Island.

On October 20, 500 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS, and 6000 SURF SCOTERS passed Boiler
Bay. A flock of nine MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS were on Cascade Head October 21. A
LAPLAND LONGSPUR and two SNOW BUNTINGS were there October 23. On October 22
a YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD was at West Lake north of Gearhart. On October 24
a PRAIRIE FALCON, two BLUE-WINGED TEAL, and over 50 CINNAMON TEAL were on
Svenson Island east of Astoria.

On October 20, 549 GREAT EGRETS were at Smith/Bybee Lakes in North Portland.
A COMMON REDPOLL was seen October 25 at a northeast Portland feeder. A BLACK
PHOEBE was at the Fernhill Wetlands October 21. A SAY?S PHOEBE was near
Yamhill October 24.

On October 23 four SURF SCOTERS and three WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were at
Haystack Reservoir near Madras. Two WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were at Prineville
Reservoir October 20.
