I know Tweeters just had an extended discussion on pros and cons of various binocular brands - to which I paid only cursory attention because I was not in the market.

However, now I now need to sell my Swarovski EL 10x42s (purchased in 2001) and get something of comparable quality only lower power (7x or 8x .)

Would someone who followed the previous discussion be so kind as to send me a summary of what they remember.
