Greetings Tweeters,
Yesterday my wife and I walked to the end of Damon Point at Ocean Shores.
We did not get started until late; 1:00 or so and it was not really a
birding trip so I did not spend al lot of time searching, we could have
easily missed other species present. The best find by far was 11 SNOW
BUNTINGS out near the end of the point, probably around 1.5 miles or so out.
It was very foggy the entire time we were there so viewing birds out on
the water was very limited. There were also good numbers of gulls late in
afternoon, hauled out at the base of the point. Eight species were present
including: GW, Western, Herring, Thayers (1 ad.), Cal., Ring-billed, Mew,
and Heermans.
Good birding,
