Thanks to all of you who responded with your excellent suggestions for
California birding locations. The strong concensus seems to be that Pt.
Reyes is a must, as well as the Monterey area. Since I have some friends in
the San Francisco area to see also, it looks like I can spend a few days
there quite profitably. For all of you who suggested more inland areas, my
partner and I are returning from L.A. the following week, and will hit all
that are on the I-5 corridor.
