Sat Sep 2, 2:37 pm. This is Scott Atkinson with a report for this morning from the Big Ditch access just north of Stanwood in northwest Snohomish Co. At Big Ditch there was a GREAT EGRET and a fair number of passerine migrants including a female NASHVILLE WARBLER and a returning LINCOLN'S SPARROW. At the Stanwood Sewage Treatment Plant just south of there, there was another LINCOLN"S SPARROW and also a BANK SWALLOW, and the EARED GREBE and 13 RED NECKED PHALAROPES continue there on the pond.

Sun Sep 3 7;56 am Denny Grandstrand reporting for yesterday, Sat,
Sep 2. On Bottle Beach there was a juvnile RUFF. 2 guys had found
it before I got there and I helped them identify it. It was to the
west of the trail that leads out to Bottle Beach, foraging with BLACK
BELLIED PLOVERS and SHORT BILLED DOWITCHERS. Thank you.

Monday, Sep 4 11p Rachel Lawson, BirdBox system administrator, with
a quick summary of reports from Tweeters for this past weekend. On
Sat Sep 7, Bob Flores reported 8 EURASIAN COLLARED DOVES and one
INDIGO BUNTING from Bassett Park from Washtucna and one NORTHERN
MOCKINGBIRD at Lyon's Ferry. Charlie Wright reported one CLAY COLORED
SPARROW in a poplar grove on hwy 261. Howard Armstrong reported one
STILT SANDPIPER in Swanntown on Whidbey Island. Ruth and Patrick
Sullivan reported one SNOWY EGRET and one RED SHOULDERED HAWK
from Ridgefield Wildlife National Refuge, and Mike Denny reported
two SABINE'S GULLS from the Walla Walla River Delta and one RED
BREASTED MERGANSER from the McNary National Wildlife Refuge. On
Sun, Sept 3, Ellen Canoe reported one PARASITIC JAEGER and 3
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES from Discovery Park in Seattle, and Rob
Sandelin reported a family of WHITE TAILED PTARMIGAN at Benson
Meadow north of Slate Peak. On Mon Sep 4, Ruth And Patrick
Sullivan reported one WHITE BREASTED NUTHATCH and one WHITE
FRONTED GOOSE at Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, and last
of all, I saw 2 male WHITE TAILED PTARMIGAN on the top of White
Table at the end of the Mt Baker Hwy. If you have questions

Mon Sep 4, 12:02pm This is Denny Grandstrand calling from Bottle
Beach at 11:00 on Mon morning. The RUFF was back, it was seen Sat
morning. It came in with a small flock of WESTERN SANDPIPERS, was
there for about 30 sec and everybody left. Also there this morning
were about 150 MARBLED GODWITS, several hundred BLACK BELLIED PLOVERS, 3 RED KNOTS, lots of SHORT BILLED DOWITCHERS and WESTERN SANDPIPERS. Thank you.

Wednesday, Sep 6, 9:07AM. This is Curtis Pearson, 206 722 9107, reporting that the juvenile RUFF was seen about an hour before high tide at Bottle Beach, on Tue Sep 5 by at least 4 birders. Good luck and good birding.
